1910 Season
To celebrate 100 years since the 1910 season, this page will be updated each week, following the result of the respective 2010 season match.
The 1910 Season displays the results of all senior matches played by the Richmond Football Club. Richmond's 1910 coach was Alex 'Joker' Hall, who earlier had played for the Essendon Football Club in the VFA (1891 - 1896) and then in the VFL (1898-1900, 1902). Prior to coaching Richmond, he coached StKilda (1906), and Melbourne (1907-1910). He was the coach of Melbourne the day Richmond played their first ever VFL game (Rd 1 1908). South unveiled their 1909 Premiership pennant before the match. Taking up defence for Richmond on debut, was the 19 year old VIC THORP, who would go on to become the club’s greatest ever fullback. Richmond took the field in their new Guernsey, an all black jumper with a wide yellow band around the middle. MICK MAGUIRE’S debut for Richmond created history- he was just 15 years 328 days old.
